For more than 35 years, smd+ has been successfully developing design, architectural and marketing concepts for international appearances by our customers, since Gerd Schneider founded the company, Schneider Messe Design, as a planning office for trade fair design and project implementation in the city of Aachen in 1981.
With the arrival of Doris Bültmann as Managing Partner in 1997, the company expanded its horizons and has since operated under the name, smd+partner
In 2002, Mario Niessen took over aspects of the business from Gerd Schneider and, as an architect, expanded the smd+ portfolio of services.
